Jalan Broga opens

It was reported in the Star today that the Broga road has opened ahead of schedule. The 3.7km road was undertaken by Hulu Langat Public Work Department and it cost RM18million, which was funded by the Federal Government. The project technician commented that the new road offered a shorter journey to Broga and was elevated unlike the old road which snaked through low-lying areas and was flood-prone.

Good job to Hulu Langat PWD. Now with the Broga road is completed (with the remaining 2.8km was undertaken by Nottingham University), maybe Hulu Langat PWD can concentrate at the main road connecting Kajang to Beranang. Although part of the road has been widen, but I think the overall condition of the road need to be upgraded further or at least resurface.

With the increase of population and traffic within Beranang area especially, a proper 2-lane dual-carriageway is needed. PWD need to elevate the road fronting the Pusat Kesihatan Kajang because it is a flood prone area during heavy rain. The road rights after the Semenyih Mewah traffic light which turn to single-lane need to be widen and straighten. Furthermore, the road system within the Semenyih town needs to be studied and improved. Too many junction and turning point making the town havoc in the evening and especially on Sunday morning when everybody going the Semenyih wet market.

Semenyih from sleepy hollow to havoc town especially in the evening and every Sunday morning.
